Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of media content in church ministry and its implications for the engagement and spiritual growth of Generation Z at Gereja Sidang Jemaat Allah Jawa Barat. The rapid development of digital technology has reshaped young people’s communication patterns, requiring churches to implement contextual and relevant ministry strategies. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Participants include media ministry leaders, senior pastors, and Generation Z congregants actively involved in church activities. Data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that creative, interactive, and theologically grounded church media content significantly enhances Generation Z’s worship participation, community involvement, and spiritual understanding. Digital platforms such as social media and live-streamed services function as effective tools for fostering emotional connection and community identity. However, challenges include content production consistency, digital literacy among ministry teams, and maintaining balance between virtual engagement and physical fellowship. The study concludes that optimizing media content aligned with the church’s theological vision can serve as an effective ministry strategy to holistically reach and nurture Generation Z.
