Focus and Scope

Theologicum Didacticum falls within the broad scope of theological studies and the analysis of contemporary issues. Its objectives and scope are as follows:

  1. Biblical Studies, including the study of texts from the Old, New Testaments, and Biblical Extra Traditions. This study may also incorporate various hermeneutical approaches.

  2. Systematic Theology, covers systematic theology studies, ranging from classical and contemporary to constructive theologies.

  3. Church History, covering the history of Christianity both globally and locally, from its early periods to the present. This includes the history of Christian thought, church history, liturgical/ritual history, and the relationship between the church and society.

  4. Practical Theology, focuses on the church and various societal issues, such as Christian leadership, pastoral counseling, worship practices, etc.

  5. Christian Education, examining Christian religious education from philosophical perspectives, field research, and the intersection of both.
