Abstract

This study aims to highlight the Doctrine of Christian Inspiration based on a single piece of information, namely the Bible itself which is the main source of its literature. The doctrine of inspiration has its own place in the scope of theology and has a very significant role in the growth of faith and knowledge of Christians. For that reason, research on the inspiration of the Bible is very important in the lives of Christians, especially in explaining what and how inspiration occurs. Especially the research on the Signification of "theopneustos" contained in 2 Timothy 3:16 written by the Apostle Paul and is a very influential explanation in the growth of Christian faith itself, as well as its counterpart in 2 Peter 1:20-21 written by the Apostle Peter and is the belief of the Apostle Peter which is based on isism and disbelief at that time, where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is considered a fairy tale or a figment of human imagination. For that reason, in an increasingly complex and dynamic context, the theory of the doctrine of inspiration has a very significant role, especially in the thoughts of these two apostles, namely the Apostles Paul and Peter. This research uses literature study by identifying and analyzing studies on the doctrine of the inspiration of the apostles contained in 2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:20-21 regarding the significance of theopneustos.
